The application opens in March 2024.

The Phoenixville Community Health Foundation offers scholarships to high school seniors graduating from area schools to pursue degrees in health care or human services. Applicants may apply for scholarship aid for $2,000 a year for up to four years for tuition (a total $8,000 over four years) in an undergraduate, technical program, or community college. Scholarship recipients do not have to reapply for this scholarship every year.

Majors that qualify are:

Health Care related

Nursing, pharmacy, physical therapist, radiology, medical lab technician, medical assistant, respiratory therapy, biomedical, neuroscience, biology, as well as medical school and the medical specialties.

Human Services

Social worker, mental health professional, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human services

Education

Pre-school, elementary, secondary, child development, special education

The program is open to graduating high school seniors from the following schools:

  • Technical College High School Pickering Campus
  • Great Valley High School
  • Methacton Senior High School
  • Owen J. Roberts High School
  • Perkiomen Valley High School
  • Phoenixville Area High School
  • Pottsgrove High School
  • Pope John Paul II High School
  • Spring-Ford High School
  • Renaissance Academy

Additionally, residents of these school districts attending private or technical schools are also eligible to apply.

All scholarship monies will be paid directly to the school. A committee of the PCHF Board reviews every application. All applicants will be informed of the decision.

Students Must:

  • Maintain full-time status
  • Be in good academic standing (2.75 semester GPA on a 4.0 scale)
  • Upload their GPA and bill every semester to our online system

You will need to upload the following documents into your application:

  • Official High School Transcript
  • Screen shot of your Expected Family Aid Contribution (EFC) or a financial award letter from that has offered you enrollment.
  • 1 letter of recommendation/reference. It can be a letter already provided to you that you have submitted with one of your college/university applications or from a community member.

Program Criteria

Emphasis will be placed on:
  • Financial need
  • Answers to the questions in the application. The committee wants to know who you are.
  • Academic achievement
  • Extra-curricular activities
  • Community service
  • 1 letter of recommendation/reference
PCHF does not ask about an applicant’s immigration status.
