Cohort Topics

Sonia Stamm will kick off the cohort with ice-breakers, team building exercises, and a personalized discussion based on cohort members’ Clifton Strengths Assessment results.

Nancy Walsh will continue building a strong cohort culture through storytelling. Studies show that that storytelling is a powerful tool for developing authentic connection, resulting in influence, loyalty, and team cohesiveness. Participants will be asked to prepare a brief personal story in advance of the workshop and will explore how their own life stories impact their work, their roles on their teams, and their daily interactions.

In this 2.5 hour session, Hubric Resources will cover employment law basics, as well as documentation, coaching, and performance management fundamentals.

Sonia Stamm will facilitate a peer-to-peer learning circle.

Most of us will SAY we crave constructive feedback but often find it tough to receive…and even harder to give. In this workshop we will discuss mindset shifts (from TELLING to DEVELOPING…to COACHING) and practical tips for giving and receiving feedback in a way that empowers all involved. These same tips can help us navigate difficult conversations with empathy and practicality.  Participants will also have the opportunity to share current challenges and will explore how to apply what they’ve learned.

Virtually every effective leader will attest to the crucial role mentors have played in their personal and professional success.  This workshop will focus on building skills to foster effective mentorship relationships, an understanding of various types of mentorships, and the creation of a plan for developing a “personal board of directors” throughout your professional career.  Networking with invited leaders and potential mentors will follow the training.

Sonia Stamm will facilitate a peer-to-peer learning circle.

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what they’ve learned, engage in structured small-group discussions using real-life challenges and scenarios, and create SMART goals based on key takeaways from their conversations.

Sonia will wrap up the cohort with a final peer to peer circle focused on reflections and takeaways for the future.
